The Lab is a growing network of not for profit technology clubs for autistic children and young people who enjoy working and playing with computers. The experience for participants at The Lab is designed to be engaging, educational, and supportive. By providing a safe and welcoming space and technology-based activities, The Lab can help young people on the autism spectrum develop important skills, gain confidence, and pursue their passions. While The Lab is not NDIS registered, many Lab participants use their NDIS plans to pay for Lab sessions.

Ballarat Hackerspace
Located at the end of the Ballarat Tech School Building, Ballarat Hackerspace are a non-profit community group dedicated to providing education and resources to encourage skills in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM). They provide tools, connections, community and other resources to help improve the skills of its members and the community, as well as encourage a culture of participating in technology advances, rather than passively using them.
They run casual social sessions, regular workshops, community meetups, and encourage growth in the community in the broader Victorian goldfields region.
Entry to the Hackerspace is not through the main door! Enter via the outside stairs at the end of the building.
