Community

Community Engagement
Supporting Our Region

A key objective of the Ballarat Tech School is to promote holistic community engagement by increasing the awareness of, and active participation in STEM opportunities for young people.

Along with creating shared student and carer opportunities around structured program offerings, we also encourage community events that increase knowledge and understanding of STEM, the Tech School and the importance of both to the future prosperity of our community.

Community Programs & Events

The Tech School works closely with a number of community partners including the City of Ballarat and Committee for Ballarat.

Community events include the Begonia City Chess Tournament, Ballarat Library Holiday programs, Ballarat Arts Foundation Grant Awards and our school holidays eSports event.

We also have a long running host association with The Lab. A network of technology clubs for autistic children and young people who enjoy working with computers.
