Rapid prototyping is a critical innovation skill in many of today’s industries where businesses need to adapt quickly to design or improve products. In this exciting new program format, students will be able to develop and refine their skills and understanding of the prototyping process.

This program has been designed to operate under a ‘module’ structure, whereby the Tech School will work with teachers to co-develop a learning experience which is tailored to students, based on the work being undertaken at school. Schools can choose from our bank of available modules to structure a meaningful experience for students. Up to 3 modules can be selected in one day, with each module running for approximately 80 minutes.

Booking Process:
Step 1: Choose your prototyping technology (e.g. Laser cutters, 3D Printers etc).
Step 2: Select 2 or 3 modules from the Tech School website, starting with a ‘Learn’ module.
Step 3: Contact us to discuss preferred modules and dates.

Structure

LEARN MODULES
Designed to teach your students how to use different software and technology tocreate prototypes. During these modules students will complete a guided tutorial and then use the Tech School equipment to produce their first prototype of the day.

PROJECT MODULES
Designed to consolidate the ‘Learn’ module skills, schools can select from a number of existing general project concepts already developed by the Tech School.

PARTNER SCHOOL PROJECT MODULE
This module enables schools to utilise Tech School resources to prototype your specific classroom projects. This helps to create a more integrated learning experience and often provides students with a greater purpose to learn throughout the day.
